Flowering size orchid
Platyrhiza quadricolor is a rarely offered, small orchid for lovers of compact varieties. It impresses with its neat, dense growth and delicate inflorescences with small, attractively colored flowers – ideal for cultivation in confined spaces. It prefers bright, filtered light, consistent humidity, and good air circulation. A fine, well-draining substrate (e.g., fine bark with some sphagnum moss) or cultivation mounted on bark/cork has proven successful. The substrate should be kept consistently slightly moist, but not waterlogged; short periods of drying out are beneficial. During the warmer months, the plant appreciates regular, weak applications of fertilizer. Flowering can generally be expected from spring to summer. Overall, an attractive miniature orchid that thrives reliably with manageable care and stable conditions, rewarding growers with colorful, delicate blooms.
