Flowering size orchid
Beautifully cultivated, robust plants Cattlianthe Little Hazel is a compact hybrid from the Cattleya alliance. It forms sympodial stems with thickened pseudobulbs and usually one or two leathery leaves. The flowers exhibit the typical Cattleya structure with broad sepals/petals and a prominent lip; they are small to medium in size and last for several weeks with proper care. As a hybrid, it is robust and well-suited for bright windowsills with filtered light. Cultivation: bright to very bright, with some direct morning/evening sun. Maintain a temperate environment (approximately 16–28 °C), good air circulation, and a loose, quick-drying substrate (medium-coarse bark). Water evenly during active growth, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings; water somewhat less frequently in winter, but do not allow the soil to dry completely. Fertilize lightly but regularly during the growing season. A pronounced dormancy period is generally not necessary; slightly brighter, drier winter care often promotes flowering. The flowering occurs in spring for many clones, but can also occur at other times depending on growing conditions.
